It is time start buying the next round of baby equipment. I need to buy my son a booster seat and I haven’t really found any that I like in the stores. I want one that has some style to it and will look good in my house. Before I know it my son will be using a knife and a fork. It is amazing how fast they grow up. It feels like I just had a baby and now he is eating solid food. So you have just reached your second trimester of your pregnancy. In the first trimester you would have felt pregnant if you had morning sickness, and you may have had an ultrasound to see your little bubs, but it will be during the second trimester that people start to comment on your pregnancy. It is very exciting when people start to take notice that you are having a baby. Your clothes start to not fit you and you will begin to feel more and more like your having a little baby. It is during this time too that you first start to notice your babies movements and maybe able to tell when they are awake or asleep. You baby grows alot during this time and you can now start to see it.

My sister is having a baby, yay! This will be their first and its cute watching them preparing their home for the new one. She came over and asked my advice about setting up the nursery. I told her about how to set up the crib and changing table and hamper. I also told her she should add a nursing rocking chair to that room. She looked a little quizzical about that, but I explained how she would be happy she did.

The diaper bags that my friend purchased were so cute! They had Bugs bunny on them. I did not think that they would ever make designer diaper bags with Bugs Bunny on them, since he was a character that was more prominent during our childhoods. But, they do.

I’m a stickler for really creative things, so I volunteered to make the invitations for the surprise jungle-themed baby shower we were throwing for our sister, Heather. I wanted to make the jungle baby shower invitations different from anything, so I decided not to make a simple card with graphics and writing on them. Along the top of the card, I glued the tips of strands of thin braided rope from which paper baby animals would literally be swinging to frame the invites wording. To cover the tips of the vines, I took some green paper and created a sort of canopy of trees and stuck that along the top of the invite. Everyone loved my concept, and they were impressed with all the effort, since I had made around 20 invites like that by hand. Heather even took one of the invitations and put it in her babys scrapbook as a keepsake.
