Being able to make your own clothes is really a skill that is great . My friend’s mom told me that she would help me learn how to sew. I told her that I would like to learn how to make a skirt first and then I would try to learn to make other things. She told me to go and find a pattern, so I did and I got the design of the skirt that I wanted to make. She walked me through the whole process and I was able to make the skirt that I liked. It was not exactly the way that I though it would be, but it fit and I like the way it looked on me. I was very happy that I got that first sewing lesson because now I sew the majority of my skirts and dresses. It is really a wonderful skill to learn how to make your own clothes because it is not only fun but also rewarding because after all the hard work you get a great outfit that you can ware to impress your friends.
