How to Unlock Your Wii and Get Free Games Forever
The Nintendo Wii allows you to play all the fun, old-school games that you got with the super Nintendo, and Sega Genesis. These games are great, but they are expensive, and can cost a lot of money if you want to get a few of them. You can get these games for free, though, by unlocking your Wii. Unlocking your Wii basically means that you are removing all of the restrictions that come on the Wii when you buy it, restrictions that are only released when you pay for the feature. A simple unlock makes these restrictions go away.
This type of Wii, with the unlock, is called a softmod Wii. When you softmod a Wii, you basically just “hack” into the software and give your console “permission” to access all of the files and gateways that were otherwise blocked, or restricted to you. In doing this, your Wii will be fully unlocked, and you will never have to pay for another game again.
